Booking an Appointment

Appointments may be made online, by telephone or in person. Please make one appointment for each member of the family who needs to be seen. We try to keep to time but please be patient if someone before you takes longer than planned. Appointments are normally ten minute slots and so if you have a complicated problem, or more than one problem, please ask for a longer appointment. It is practice policy to allow patients to choose whichever doctor they wish to attend in the practice.

Please help us

If you are not able to attend your appointment please let us know in time so that the time can be used for someone else. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.

Extended opening hours

We also offer weekday late and weekend appointments at our neighbouring ‘hub’ practice which is at Burley Park Surgery (Saturdays) and Hyde Park Surgery (Evenings Monday – Friday, and Sundays). These appointments cannot yet be booked online, but can be booked by speaking to reception.

Urgent appointments

If you feel that your problem is urgent then please call reception. Our doctor on-call will telephone you within 2 hours to assess your problem and will arrange for to be seen in surgery on the same day if necessary. We do not run a walk-in clinic and all our urgent or same-day appointments are assessed over the phone by the doctor on-call so please do not come to the surgery without calling first and speaking to a doctor.

Telephone Appointments

In addition to face to face appointments we offer telephone appointments for patients who find it difficult to get to the surgery during our opening hours, or for matters where a telephone conversation with a doctor is all that is needed. Please book these appointments with our reception team over the telephone; you will be given an appointment time and the doctor will call you back within 30 minutes of your booked time. Please remain by your phone and be available during this time; the doctor will make 2 attempts to call and if they are unsuccessful after 2 attempts then your appointment will be closed and you will need to re-book your appointment.
