Our Doctors

Dr Rob Chauhan
General Practitioner

GP Partner

Male

Dr Chauhan qualified as a doctor from the University of Leeds School of Medicine in 2009 and entered GP training in 2011. He finished his GP training at Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre in August 2014 and having stayed on since then became GP Partner in April 2017.

Dr Chauhan is the lead GP for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults. He is also the practice Diabetes Lead and the Named GP for Headingley Nursing Home.

Dr David McCollum
General Practitioner

Male
Dr McCollum completed his training at The University of Manchester in 2012. He moved to Leeds with his family in 2014, completing his GP training in 2017 and joining the practice as a Partner in August 2020. He is a GP Trainer, supervising the trainee GPs at Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre.


Dr McCollum enjoys running, cycling and playing hockey as well as keeping busy looking after his young children.

Dr Frances Beanland

Salaried GP

Dr Beanland qualified as a doctor from the Newcastle University Medical School in 2013 and has spent time working as a doctor in Leeds and London since that time. She completed GP training in Leeds in 2020 and joined Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre as a salaried GP later that year.

Dr Beanland has an interest in women’s health and contraception and, after completing foundation junior doctor training, worked for a time as a sexual health doctor prior to starting GP training. She has completed additional qualifications to improve her knowledge and ability to care for patients presenting with concerns in these areas and is trained in contraceptive implant and coil procedures.

Outside of work, Dr Beanland enjoys looking after her young family and walking the family dog.
Priha

Dr Priha McCollum

Salaried GP

Dr Priha McCollum qualified from the University of Manchester in 2011. She has worked at a variety of practices in Leeds and has completed extra qualifications in sexual health (DFSRH) and women’s health (DRCOG).

Dr McCollum formally joined Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre as a salaried GP in 2022, where she works on Tuesdays. Asides from her work with the practice, Dr McCollum also works as a GP elsewhere across Leeds and other parts of England.

Outside of work Dr McCollum enjoys walking and running as well as spending time with friends and family.

Dr Khalifa Salem

Salaried GP

Dr Khalifa Salem graduated from the University of October 6th, Egypt in 2014. He completed his GP training at Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre in 2022, joining the practice as a salaried doctor afterwards. Dr Salem works at the practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

He is trained to deliver joint injections for various ailments.

Outside of work his hobbies include watching and playing football as well as walking his little poodle.

Dr Imran Khan

Salaried GP

Dr Khan qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2010. He joined the practice in 2022, working on Mondays and Fridays. Dr Khan is trained to deliver joint injections for various ailments.

Our Nursing Team

Jessica Jones
Led Nurse

Female

Jessica qualified as a Nurse in 2002 and went on to work in cardiology and then in Accident and Emergency in both St James’ Hospital and the Leeds General Infirmary. Jessica also worked as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner treating Minor Injuries during her time in A&E. Jessica joined the practice in summer 2014 as part of a planned move to working in General Practice.

Nosheen joined the team as a receptionist in 2005 and worked in our reception team whilst training as a Phlebotomist and then as a Health Care Assistant qualifying in summer 2016. Nosheen now works as our full-time Healthcare Assistant.

Practice Manager

Evie Joined the team as a receptionist in 2014 and worked within our reception team until being appointed as Reception Team Leader in the summer of 2015. This stint was short lived as Evie was appointed as Patient Services Manager in 2016. In May 2019 Evie was appointed Practice Manager, Evie is the first point of contact for all patient queries, comments or complaints that require the attention of the management team.

Ann Bertram Joined us in 2011 and has been working as an Administrator in General Practice since 2000. Ann works as our medical records summariser and ensures that patients records are accurate and up to date when they join and leave the practice.
